In Loving Memory of Myung Seok Kang

Myung Seok Kang of West Orange, New Jersey, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 67. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kimminho Funeral Home.

Originally from South Korea, Myung Seok spent most of his life in Busan before moving to the United States in the early 2000s. He made New Jersey his home for the remainder of his life. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather. He is survived by his wife, two sons, two grandchildren, and five sisters, who will continue to treasure the memories they shared throughout their lives.

Myung Seok was kind, patient, understanding, and deeply devoted to his family. He loved people and genuinely cared about those around him. With his warm smile, handsome appearance, and gentle nature, he had a way of making people feel comfortable and valued. He worked tirelessly to support those he loved and was never one to complain. Through his generosity and willingness to understand others, he built lasting relationships and brought love and harmony to the people around him.

From a young age, he loved nature and enjoyed fixing things, following in the footsteps of his own father. After studying electricity at a technical high school in South Korea, he carried that passion into his laundry business, where he often repaired and troubleshot his own equipment. He also cared deeply for his customers, many of whom came to appreciate him not only for his work but also for his kindness, patience, and personal attention.

Myung Seok proudly served in the Republic of Korea (ROK) Army as a sergeant. He often shared memories of his military service and inspired his two sons, who went on to serve in the United States Army and Marine Corps.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, hard work, caring nature, handsome smile, and the love he showed through his actions. His family, friends, and all who knew him will carry his memory in their hearts and remain grateful for the life, kindness, and love he shared with them.

May he rest in peace.
